How does CurbAlarm read parking signs?
CurbAlarm uses Apple’s Vision framework to perform on-device text recognition (OCR) on parking signs. Your camera images are processed entirely on your device — nothing is uploaded or sent to any server.
Is CurbAlarm accurate?
CurbAlarm provides its best interpretation of parking sign text, but results should always be reviewed. After scanning, you can edit the parsed rules before setting an alarm. Always verify against the actual sign.
How do I restore my purchases?
Open CurbAlarm → Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases. This will check your Apple ID for any active subscriptions and restore your premium access.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to your device Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → CurbAlarm → Cancel Subscription. You will retain access until the end of your current billing period.
How do I delete my account?
If you signed in with Apple, go to CurbAlarm → Settings → Account → Delete Account. This removes your sign-in data from the device and signs you out. Your alarms and parking rules remain on the device.
You can also revoke access from your device: Settings → Apple ID → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple → CurbAlarm → Stop Using Apple ID.
How do I delete all my data?
All CurbAlarm data is stored locally on your device. To delete everything, simply delete the CurbAlarm app from your device. No data exists on any server.
What permissions does CurbAlarm need?
- Camera — required to scan parking signs. You can revoke this in iOS Settings at any time.
- Notifications — required to send alarm reminders. You can customize or disable notifications in iOS Settings.
Does CurbAlarm use my location?
No. CurbAlarm does not request or use location data.
